I love Fall. Fall is when I can finally decorate the house to be all cozy and the almost colder weather arrives. Last year I went crazy and bought decorations for Christmas the day after when everything was on sale but realized I never bought any fall stuff. So looked up some ideas and made a trip to the Dollar Store. Seriously that place is the best. I was able to pick up the cutest decorations to create things for about $20. I am all about buying things cheap and looking for good deals so I can be picky. Sure some of the things are not the best quality but if you can be creative, you can totally work with it! Here are some pictures of some of the things I created (just click on the pictures to see what I did).
A few weeks back, my wonderful husband helped me build this shoe rack. I had no directions or plan, just ideas in my scattered head. He helped put my ideas into an actual piece of work. Some simple white lights and a strand of fall leaves. P.S. I bought these white lights from Walmart on New Years Eve. Sounds strange but they were trying to clear their shelves so I got them for $1 when normally they were like $15. So if you have no plans on New Years Eve, just go buy Christmas lights. 😛
This was my favorite one to make with our last name letter. Super simple, cost $5 and 5 minutes to make (minus drying time for the white pumpkin).
I actually had all these things around the house, leftover wedding supplies that I was able to use for this. Little white candles, with leaves wrapped around twine. Baby’s breath, the best choice of flowers for weddings, if you’re simple like me. They make super great decorations and centerpieces dried!
This adorable chalk board I bought at Hobby Lobby and used it for our wedding. Love being able to re-use it.
Mason jar wrapped in burlap, leaves and twine. Two bunches of leaves inside and little cute pumpkins on the side. Total cost $8 and just a few minutes to put together!
You do not have to spend lots of money to decorate, just some simple things to create into new things. Hope this makes you ready for Fall and warm hot apple cider!
